Document tree, editor, and shortcuts
Create and organize documents, use editor commands, and learn the essential shortcuts.
The document tree is the project directory of a Space. You can create pages and folders, nest them, reorder by dragging, rename, and archive items.
Organize the tree
You do not need a complex structure at first. Start with:
Inbox
Projects
ArchiveA focused project might use 00 Overview, 01 Research, 02 Drafts, 03 Decisions, and 99 Archive. The structure should help you find material, not become extra work.
Use slash commands
Type / in the editor to insert headings, lists, tasks, callouts, images, tables, code, Mermaid diagrams, math, and AI rewrite blocks.
After selecting text, use the context menu, the Tab selection actions, or Cmd/Ctrl+K to start an AI rewrite.

Cmd/Ctrl+N: create a document;Cmd/Ctrl+S: save;Cmd/Ctrl+P: search documents;Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+P: open the command palette;Cmd/Ctrl+L: open or focus Chat;Cmd/Ctrl+F: search the current document;Cmd/Ctrl+,: open Settings.

Deleted documents move to the archive, where they can be restored or permanently removed.
